Route 288 Bypass

United provided construction and engineering services for this public facility with 25 bridges along new 17.5-mile four-lane grade-separated divided highway. Contract scope included planning, public hearings, public relations, permitting, right-of-way coordination, utility coordination, design, construction, and long-term warranties. Bridges totaled 15,170 LF and 737,000 SF with twin 3660′ crossings over James River/Norfolk Southern RR and a tri-level interchange at I-64 with 252′.
