United Infrastructure Group, Inc. (UIG) is serving as the bridge construction subcontractor for the NC-150 to US-21 Widening Project, with a focus on the replacement of the Lake Norman Bridge—a critical crossing linking Catawba and Iredell Counties.

As part of this transformative $249 million infrastructure initiative, the new bridge will support the expansion of NC 150 from four to six lanes, addressing long-standing congestion and improving safety across one of the most heavily traveled corridors in the Lake Norman region. UIG’s scope includes complete bridge demolition, substructure and superstructure construction, and integration with adjacent roadway systems and interchange improvements.

The new Lake Norman Bridge will enhance mobility, improve stormwater and navigational clearance, and support the region’s continued growth.
