Project Details

UIG constructed 6.8 mile grade-separated divided highway bypass on new alignment with 2.8 mile long bridge over Tar River and wetlands, 2 interchanges, 3 overpass bridges, 2 box culverts, 1,200,000 cubic yards earthwork, and 150,000 tons asphalt pavement, along with permitting, mitigation, utility relocations, and innovative top-down construction techniques. (Delivered 9 months ahead of schedule in 48 months with no claims)
